I started fish keeping as a hobby during my freshman year of high school, partially to have a screen free way to relax at home, and because I wanted to re-create the beautiful things I was seeing other people make online. My first few attempts at creating successful aquariums were complete disasters, and there came a point where my parents were fed up with my sorrow of continually loosing animals. They told me if my next attempt was not successful, i.e., the critters died, I would need to stop the hobby. Shortly after, I set up my first successful aquarium, a small simple shrimp tank. Shortly after this I discovered the Father Fish Method a naturalistic, and incredibly stress free style of aquarium. That method, along with that one small, but successful tank, are the reason I am where I am at today.
